Rather than painting over the beautiful wood siding, the owners asked Lucatero Painting LLC to stain the entire house. The wood was so dry that it sucked the first coat right up – it took two whole coats of stain to deliver a finished, professional result.
We sealed and refreshed this concrete deck using slip-resistant paint containing sand for extra grip. Now the concrete is both safe and beautiful!
Due to the texture on the walls, the paint had difficulty bonding correctly; we gave the walls three coats of paint in order to properly deliver a clean, professional result.
The most challenging part of this project was a compressed, two-day timeline. Even so, we were able to complete the project in the time available, including an approximately 800 sqft. deck in addition to the house.
It took a crew of 9 people to paint this 6000 sqft. home, plus a two-story garage/apartment, in only two days.
One of the challenges presented with this project was a steep hill on the side of the house. We used a 35ft ladder to reach the eaves and finish the job. Part of the project consisted of primed T1-11 siding due to repairs the owners are making.
One of the most challenging parts of this residential project was making sure we didn’t get paint on the stairs when we were painting the front deck. We had to be very careful when masking, but we did it and the railing turned out looking great!
